Friday - rainy night and day

We made it through Kansas last night - in the rain and storms. This a.m we were 3 hours ahead of Robic, the solo leader.

Gary says the two tornadoes last night gave us a great tailwind and we sped across at 100 mph :-).

Today has been rainy most of the days. We heard a few thunder bumpers but that didn't slow our team. The B-shift crew stopped at mid-day to do laundry so the racers would have more dry clothes. They are still in good spirits and riding strong. Kevin is rolling up the hills at 15 -17 mph.

The team plans to bunk somewhere near the Mississippi River tonight.

Cheers:
Brenda
